Women’s Weekend of Renewal
Friday evening and Saturday morning in the Fall
This is a time for relaxation and refreshing for our women before the mania of the Holiday season begins. Our women are treated to meals and Bible study and are offered a time of fellowship. This has grown as an outreach not just for our own ladies, but for ladies from other churches in the community as well.
Hanging of the Green Service
Sunday evening after Thanksgiving
During this special evening service, the church begins with only a few Christmas decorations with no lights. During the service, the Christmas story is told and by the end, the entire church is decorated with greenery and lights, symbolically showing that Jesus brings light and joy into our lives.
Walk to the Manger/Walk to the Cross
In December/Around Easter
This is a time, at the conclusion of a morning service, that the church is given the opportunity to bring their gifts to the manger or cross to be given to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions or the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions, which helps our missionaries around the world and in North America.
